Our chefs will be serving an ever-changing menu inspired by local ingredients at Berunes restaurant during the summer months. Supported by local craft ales and ambitious wine list we proudly welcome you to enjoy a true local fare.
Róbert Ólafsson owner and chef at Forrettabarinn Restaurant in Reykjavík is born and raised in Berunes and after being thought his first kitchen tricks by his mother and grandmother, he has now over 30 years of international culinary experience behind him.
Robert´s family at Berunes has welcomed travelers from around the world since 1973. With a spectacular mountain range on one side and a tranquil seafront on the other, Berunes truly offers a unique location in the East Fjords. Guests can hike up Mt Berunestindur above the farm and stroll along the coastline.
The top-rated HI Hostel offers a unique choice of accommodation for about 50 guests; in rooms and cottages, along with a cozy and well-equipped camping site. Looking forward to meeting at Berunes this summer.
